Goal Setting

Today students learned about setting SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) goals. We discussed how to make an action plan in order to achieve our goals. Working in the program "My Pathway Planner", I asked students to set three different goals: one related to learning skills, one related to academics and the other a personal goal. Students set up the necessary tasks that would be required to reach their goals and saved them in their online portfolios. If you have a chance, ask you child about their goals. Maintaining these discussions helps students achieve their goals. You can also ask your child to show you the program we used and they can create another goal with you!
