This week, students have selected one challenge that teens face and completed a writing planner (organizer) including the consequences and strategies of that particular challenge. As a first draft, students wrote a writing piece about the challenge. Students were then asked to review their work using the success criteria, they exchanged with a peer for feedback and then I provided individual feedback. Today, students will be asked to consider all of the feedback given and make the necessary revisions using tools such as online dictionaries, spell check, synonym dictionaries and revising their organizers. We will continue to work on writing skills in this manner of the next few weeks. I would like students to value the feedback received and focus on the revising and editing process in order to polish their writing pieces.
