Reading Journal

As a part of our reading program we will continue our reading journals in term 2, however, there are a few changes. Students were given a choice between 5 different novels. They will be reading the same novel as a small group of students in the class. Every two weeks, they will be required to complete a journal entry using the list of possible topics such as describing the style of the author or with which character do they identify most, etc. This entry will be completed in a folder on Google. Every other week, students will be asked to make comments and engage in a discussion about the content of their group members' journals. This can include asking questions, new considerations and making connections. Ask your child about the novel they selected to read and encourage them to discuss their reading!
